The Ashes 2023 - Highest Run Scorer Per Test Sweepstake Rules

  1. Plucky’s 2023 Ashes Highest Run Scorer per Test sweepstakes will be a 12 player ‘winner takes all’ sweepstake.

  2. The 12 tickets will consist of players number one to six from both teams.

  3. Those players will be confirmed as soon as practicable after both teams are announced.

  4. We will endeavour to have the 12 players listed before the draw, however if for whatever reason, this proves impossible, then each player in the sweepstake will receive a number from 1 to 12. As soon as the starting eleven are announced, these numbers will be matched with the home side’s 1,2,3,4,5,& 6 followed by the visiting side’s 1 through 6 as shown below in ‘The Field’. These numbers are those reflected on the declared starting eleven and not necessarily the actual order that they may play.

  5. Each ticket will be either scratched off at random by the customer when the ‘draw’ is open,or will be allocated at random by Plucky where the customer is unable to participate in the ‘draw’ itself.

  6. In the case of private individual sweepstakes -

    1st Place Only Sweepstake - Winner takes all less plucky fees (100% - 9.75% = 90.25%)

  7. In the case of sweepstakes being held in aid of charities or clubs - 

    1st Place Only Sweepstake - Winner receives 50% of gross pot. Plucky takes 9.5%, HMRC takes 7.5% in Pool Betting Duty (6.04% paid by Club and 1.47% paid by Plucky) and the Club takes 34.21%

  8. In the case that one or more of those players does not start the test match, they will be replaced by the next player (e.g. number 7). 

  9. If a player is disqualified or withdrawn during the test, then that customer will forfeit their stake in its entirety.

  10. The sweepstake result is based on the result declared immediately following the end of the test match.

  11. Winner’s funds will be credited to customer’s accounts within 24 hours of the result being declared.

  12. In the unlikely event of some force majeure preventing any Ashes 2023 Test Match from taking place, all funds will be credited back to customers’ accounts, less a small deduction to cover Plucky’s transaction costs. This will be a maximum of 5%.

  13. All start and end times for the entire duration of the Ashes Test Match Sweepstakes are approximate and based on what the official ECB website states.

  14. These rules should be read in conjunction with Plucky’s general sweepstake Rules of the Game and Terms and Conditions.
